Baker & McKenzie’s Summer Associate Program is designed to introduce law students to the practice of law at the Firm and to allow lawyers and summer associates to become mutually acquainted for the purpose of evaluating the interest of a future employment relationship. Every effort is made to expose summer associates to all aspects of the Firm’s practice by receiving substantive legal work, professional training and social networking opportunities.
Our North American offices are organized into practice groups, and our summer associates are given the opportunity to work on a wide range of assignments from all practice groups. Additionally, our summer associates are provided with client work of the same caliber as performed by the Firm’s lawyers. Because our primary goal is to offer a realistic professional experience, we place great importance on providing our summer associates with “real” work.
The importance we place on our summer program cannot be overstated. The Firm is deeply committed to developing our lawyers through our highly respected Development Framework, and we ensure that our summer associates receive ample opportunity for development through participation in a variety of areas, including our North American Regional Summer Associates’ Meeting.
