About Google India :

Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were students at Stanford University and the company was first incorporated as a privately held company on September 4, 1998. The initial public offering took place on August 19, 2004, raising $1.67 billion, implying a value for the entire corporation of $23 billion. Google has continued its growth through a series of new product developments, acquisitions, and partnerships.

Details:

Google India has announced the 2010 Google India Women in Engineering Award. The award is to recognize and reward deserving women students in Computer Science and related majors, and inspire them to become active participants and leaders in creating technology. The awards are based on the candidates’ academic background and demonstrated leadership. A group of female undergraduate, graduate and PhD student finalists will be chosen from the applicant pool. The award recipients will receive a cash prize of INR 100000.This is not a scholarship. This is a one-time award, and the awardee is recognized for her academic excellence and demonstrated leadership skills.Each applicant will be required to submit the following: A detailed resume & Two essays on given topics (from a choice of four).These details can be found from the website mentioned.

Eligibility: The candidtes must be:
1. Be enrolled as a full time student in a recognized Indian institution.
2. Be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related majors.
3. Maintain a cumulative CGPA of at least 4.0 on a 5.0 scale, 8.0 on a 10.0 scale or equivalent in their current program.
4. Be enrolled in the 2nd, 3rd or final year if applying when in their bachelor’s degree, 1st or 2nd year if they are applying when in their master’s degree or are PhDs students in a related field.

    Dear, Friend, MY idea is related to financial. Financial & Banking sectors are progress in only citties, but in rural area not developed yet.IF some Micro financial or Banking sectors are established in rural area, then they also got oporsunities to improve. Government given some fund, but it is not sufficiant for them. More educated pepple are leaving in rural. But due to lack of money, they are failor. Thank you

    I think the car should be more eco-friendly. There should be different driving system in the same car like CNG system, Bioiesel system ,and also solar panel system so that the car may use minimum amount of fossil fuel and exhaust minimum amount of carbon.The engine should be more efficient to get the maximum mileage.
